Our youth centre is committed to uplifting the lives of the internally displaced youths. In a place where we do not have hydroelectricity and with our commitment to renewable energy, the provision of solar energy is appreciated. We do not only aim at providing the light to the youths. We aim at enlightening their minds and transforming their lives. The path to such an achievement begins from this physical light. In as much as we may use natural light for reading during the day, we need electricity for computer lessons and library use in the evenings. These services will definitely not only illuminate their minds but also transform their lives for tomorrow and the lives of the community in which they belong. Blessed be God! For through the generosity of our benefactors and benefactresses, the people of good will, CDJ managed to procure and install a new solar power system.
The power supplied by solar panels is more than just eco-friendly, it is consistent and reliable. As such, we are enabled to offer uninterrupted learning services fostering in that manner an environment where the youths develop essential skills needed in the modern era. In a nutshell, solar panels are more than merely light providers. Solar panels facilitate educational empowerment and community development. They are an aid for social and ecological transformation. Just as the light provides clarity to our environment, so is education to our ideas and skills for community and life transformation. Thus, the investment in solar energy at this youth centre has equally started an investment in life, community of the internally displaced youth. It has also been an ecological transformation since it helps in illumining the vibrant youths who frequent the youth centre.
